I feel 30mph is fine for such a wide road . 20mph for such a road is too slow .

When the signs were first put out on the eastbound side of Main Road they were placed on the pavement, effectively blocking it. This would have caused a significant problem for anyone with a push-chair or wheel-chair and would have forced them into the road. I would suggest this was potentially a major safety hazard. The signs have now been moved but it highlights what an ill-thought out scheme this is. The shops on the Green don't appear to be any busier than normal so why is this scheme necessary? There is already a full pedestrian crossing available, so if anyone is concerned about crossing the road they should use it. If there is a problem in this area it is largely down to people parking on the double yellow lines which narrows the road and also makes it very difficult for drivers exiting the road in front of the shops on the Green to see on-coming traffic.

It's about time, more and more houses being built in Meriden, which was a smallish village, - now there are so many cars, - anything that makes cars drive slower, will help to save lives, **** while you are at it , can you please make Leys lane one way for cars, closing off the entrance- from Fillongley road - into Leys lane, that will help stop the boy racers, who speed up & down Alspath Road,- will also help stop the stolen cars, getting onto Main rd, and off to B'ham, / Coventry so quickly at least ! - the children and animals will be safer too.****

So far it appears pretty useless. The limit does not extended far enough through the village or up Fillongley Rd. I watched yesterday as the signs were completely ignored. I'd like to see the changes stay only if the size of the project is extended beyond a few lamposts

I would extend the range a little more. Along Birmingham Road effective at the roundabout (cars literally race frim roundabout to roundabout!) and down Main Road, at least as far as Bull’s Head/Strawberry Bank and a little further along Fillongley Road (which is an absolute race track at times! People are not paying any attention to the speed limit signs whatsoever at the moment
