This temporary measure has been removed after just a couple of weeks. Why? It’s barely been given a chance, and due to this being mainly dual carriageway should be made permanent. Such a shame that money is wasted in this way without giving it a reasonable amount of time to see the benefits of it.

Designed so the cyclist can not access this due to bollards, I travel this route daily and have never seen it used

I cycle along here and the main problem is the narrow cycle path over the railway bridge. The extra space over the bridge is welcome

Being a regular cyclists in this route it is great to avoid the lorries and appending taxis on the route with this change as well as avoiding pedestrians using the path. I feel this should be extended all the way to Birmingham business parks progress way entrance for best effect.
